Mr. C

This was my second visit with Mr. C.  My first was when he was just a few monthsThis one year old baby boy was amazing with smiles.  He was also one of the best cake eaters I've ever photographed!

The entire session was a blast.  Working with Mr. C and his puppy dogs, watching him complete record-setting "stand by myself" poses and playing peek-a-boo .. it all made me feel like I'm his uncle.

What a joy. THANK YOU for sharing your wonderful family with me today.  You will LOVE LOVE LOVE your portraits.  I know I do.

Chevy and Ska-doo.

ChevySka-dooMy Saturday morning session with Chevy and Ska-doo was a perfect way to start the day.

Both were adopted by their adoring humans.  Chevy was adopted at just a few weeks old.

Thank you for bringing them to my studio today.  You have a beautiful family.

Working with these labradors reminded me a lot of my own Maddie-Su ... a rescue dog Carol and I loved for many years.

You're going to love today's portraits.

Thank you for visting today.  And thank you, Julie, for making this possible for all of us.

Another sneak peek.

Here's a screen shot of a video the studio will release next week.  Kelsey, Cassie and I created the short film - which has some very funny segments - to kickoff the book which I hope to announce next week.

This is a monumental project.  It's an experience I hope to repeat a few times, too.

For my first book release, I feel like a father giving away a daughter at her wedding.  It's hard to let go and let her open her own wings.

That time is just a few more days away.

Nervously excited but proud of what we've accomplished.

Thank you for your support of me, my employees and dreams.

Ida and a big announcement coming very soon.

Here's another glamour shot of Ida.

While posting this portrait of a magnificent creature in appearance and soul, I'm also pleased to say that the studio is about to announce it's biggest project since opening the studio in South Anchorage more than 10 years ago.  It's significant and it's awesome.

I expect to unveil this within the next 3-4 days.  I hope you'll stay tuned and spread the word when it's revealed.

Special thanks to Ida for helping me make this little tease possible!

Michael and Ida ('Swim')

Ida is just plain and simple an AWESOME ... AWESOME cat.  He was one of the easiest going kitties I've ever photographed at the studio (and that's saying a lot!!)

Michael ... thanks a lot for letting me photograph you and that amazing Swim Cat.  It really was a lot of fun.  You two have a very cool bond.  I love seeing that.

I think by the time were wrapped up Ida was ready for a long cat nap.

See you again soon!
