Jamie, Justin and plenty of well-expected fun.

MY SHOES!!!!!! Trying to float away in Cook Inlet.Just being able to photograph Justin and Jamie was enough for me.  But .... then came THE ADVENTURE!!!

I invited them to join me for photography work along Turnagain Arm today.  We traveled to Beluga Point where I noticed bubbles floating in the air. Turns out, today is International Blow Bubbles Day.  A very kind gentleman name Jay Hiner was delighting the skyline with colorful bubbles. Not wanting to miss an opportunity, I brought Jamie and Justin into bubble world for some unusual and very fun portraits.

Later, we hiked around the area for more portrait work.  It was hard not to notice the water rising.  I spied a rock just off the shrinking shore and carried both Jamie and Justin to the rock.  (I didn't want them to look wet in the photos!!)  By the time we were done, the water was about 2' deep around their rock.

Cook Inlet water rises quickly.  So, I reacted quickly, snapped several portraits, and hefted both of them back to shore.

What a totally FUN day.

Austrid, Lynn and Lois

Somehow I forgot to post this beautiful portrait of three very lovely ladies who visited the studio several days ago.  Very sorry about about that.  My mind has been distracted.....

I met Austrid (center) a couple years ago when her friends treated her to a portrait session with her favorite four-legged friend, Muffin.  In this portrait, daughters Lynn and Lois joined their mom for photos at the studio.

Lois, Lynn and Austrid ... I always have so much fun working with you.  Thank you for allowing me to be your photographer.

Austrid ... give that Muffin puppy a hug for me!

Important fresh air

Layla and I joined Wayne Bell his dog Dakota today for a short hike along Powerline Pass Trail in the Chugach Range early this morning.  Afterward, I strapped up a pair of snowshoes and took a second trail into the hills for an hour or so.

The title of this post is a clue to something big coming in the next couple days.  Today's fresh air was just what I needed.  In fact, I may try to hit the mountains again in a couple days if my boss lets me have 2-3 hours off while the snow is still on the ground in the hills.

Sneak Peek starring Henry and Charlie.

I'll try to post another photo or two from each of today's sessions on Sunday.  Here's a glimpse at the final session of the day starring two very photogenic Labradoodle characters.
