Michael and Ida ('Swim')

Ida is just plain and simple an AWESOME ... AWESOME cat.  He was one of the easiest going kitties I've ever photographed at the studio (and that's saying a lot!!)

Michael ... thanks a lot for letting me photograph you and that amazing Swim Cat.  It really was a lot of fun.  You two have a very cool bond.  I love seeing that.

I think by the time were wrapped up Ida was ready for a long cat nap.

See you again soon!

Chloe, Mimi and Izzabella

Loving how the wind is blowing Chloe's ears back as if she's in Hollywood. She should be!!Memory Lane at the studio is thawing out. Perfect for those 'catch and release" dog moments.Shaking off the Springer snow.Posing in the studio's Classic Park - also thawing out.Today was glorious because of Lois's visit to the studio with Chloe, Izzie and Mimi.

I photographed Chloe when she was just a puppy a little less than 13 years ago. These connections mean so much to me.

Chloe is still a puppy in mind - and in body!  She's so vibrant.   I LOVED working with her.

All of today's posers were above and beyond.  It was a banner day

Thank you so much, Lois.   It was impossible selecting just a few photos to post.  Wait 'til you see the entire collection!!

Ruby.

Ruby was a shining star this past Friday.

Isn't she a beautiful creature?

We worked with her for a couple hours inside the studio with fresh tulips provided by Anchorage Floral. Tulips represent her breed's origins in the Netherlands.  They helped capture her spirit and certainly complemented some of her charming personality.

Ruby is a Champion Keeshond.   And we were honored to photographer her and her fantastic humans.

Thank you Theresa and Mike.

Redek and Gunnar

I can't think of many better ways to spend a couple hours than working with Bernese Mountain Dogs.

These two charmers (and their gigantic paws) were way too cute.

We spent time in the studio and captured really fun portraits - including the "Mountain Dog Music" photo shown above.

And we enjoyed quality time out in the snow with both pups.  I really love the leash-holding portrait and the final image of the day which turned out to be one of the more challenging portraits.  Both pups are a bit independent and getting them together in the same frame was a team effort.  Thankfully, a small party of people walked near the trail - catching the attention of both pups.  I was ready for the moment and afterward we were all ready to empty snow out of the bottom of our shoes.

Great, great session.  Thank you.

See you again in a few days!

The Oberly Family

Dillon, Liam and their lovable black labrador visited the studio last week (sorry ... I'm a little disorganized this week.)

You guys are always a blast to work with.  Thank you, thank you!
