Pawstice 2011 leaves a lasting impression

Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated the first annual Pawstice Festival today.  I can't say enough about how well things flowed today.

Rev's. Debra and Doug Lindsay offer blessings to Peaches and Tubbs.Rev's Doug & Debra Lindsay (retired) were two of many highlights of the day with their heartfelt blessings.  And their offering of a moment of silence - remembering our animal companions who have passed - brought happy tears and joy along the way.  It was a perfect way to honor and remember our dogs.

Leola AdamsAnimal empath/communicator Leola Adams was very popular as she honored the many requests from guests to chat and reflect upon the personalities and thoughts of their dogs.  She also helped commemorate Pawstice with a beautiful blessing song.

Available for Adoption from Anchorage Animal Care and ControlFriends of Pets and Anchorage Animal Care and Control showed off some very cute and adoptable dogs.  Alaska Assistance Dogs was also on-hand to talk about their programs.  Doggy Decadents and Paw Prince brought goodies and products for pamperred pups.  And of course, my studio and staff were in full force behind the scenes throughout the day.  I think I can safely say that everyone was ready to take the rest of the day off and relax after all was said and done.

Thanks again for sharing this remarkable day with us everyone.  I hope you enjoy these images!  And I hope you'll join us for Pawstice 2012 next June.

David, Carol, Kelsey and Shelby, thank you SO much for such a wonderful day. It was really great to be able to share a few hours with so many other like minded lovers of our animal companions. The photos are (as always) lovely and very touching. I am so thrilled to see a picture of my Lucy. My younger dogs are the one who do the agility and flyball, etc. So the older gals don't get to get out and socialize much anymore. Lucy was smiling all day after her day at the park! It was so sweet to be able to have the dogs receive the blessings from Debra and Doug Lindsay, after all, as Debi said to me - they bless us every day. And finding the picture of Grace, who I had the honor of adopting from Friends of Pets 12 years ago, after seeing her photo in the Pet Patrol, was incredible. At 13 years old, she is still my sweet angelic Grace
I was so thrilled to meet the lovely couple who are Alaska Assistance Dogs. The work they do is outstanding and so needed. I hope everyone will click on their link and learn more about this wonderful organization.
The beautiful and poignant song by Leola Adams gave me goose bumps, but the most amazing thing was how the dogs responded. Dogs who had been restless, and moving about, laid down and listened to the song. She was truly singing to them and they were fully receptive to the benediction. Thank you for inviting to me share this day with you, and consider me RSVP'd for 2012.
