This event is going to be so much fun for all. Pawstice 2012 is hosted by the studio as a gift to my customers and friends.

Rev's. Debra and Doug Lindsay offer blessings to Peaches and Tubbs.Rev's Doug & Debra Lindsay (retired) were two of many highlights of the day with their heartfelt blessings.  And their offering of a moment of silence - remembering our animal companions who have passed - brought happy tears and joy along the way.  It was a perfect way to honor and remember our dogs.

Leola AdamsAnimal empath/communicator Leola Adams was very popular as she honored the many requests from guests to chat and reflect upon the personalities and thoughts of their dogs.  She also helped commemorate Pawstice with a beautiful blessing song.

Available for Adoption from Anchorage Animal Care and ControlFriends of Pets and Anchorage Animal Care and Control showed off some very cute and adoptable dogs.  Alaska Assistance Dogs was also on-hand to talk about their programs.  Doggy Decadents and Paw Prince brought goodies and products for pamperred pups.  And of course, my studio and staff were in full force behind the scenes throughout the day.  I think I can safely say that everyone was ready to take the rest of the day off and relax after all was said and done.

Our RSVP list is pretty much complete.  If you meant to sign up but forgot, drop me an email I'll add you to the list.  Currently, about 50 human guests are confirmed.  Each human guest will have one or more dogs.

Good things to know:

My studio will provide beverages and snacks for people and paws.

Please plan to keep your dogs on a leash.

- Follow the balloons off Abbott Road into the park.

- If the parking lot is full, you should be okay parking along the street or in the equestrian parking lot.

- Parking will be easiest if you arrive before 11 a.m. to get the best spots.

The Blessing of the Animals by Rev. Doug & Rev. Debra Lindsay will take place soon after 11 a.m.

Blessings and prayers can be non-denominational.    The Lindsays will also lead a moment of silence in celebration of companion animals who have passed and for those who are ill.  I can't say enough good  things about  how wonderful it is to have Doug and Debra as guest hosts of Pawstice.

Pawstice Park will include a walking tour of artwork representing the results of the Talking to Animals Model Search I sponsored earlier this year.   The tour will feature more than 100 portraits of adorable dogs, cats, birds, frogs, Iguanas, Bearded Dragons, Mice, Snakes and more.  This is another first-of-its kind open air art exhibit.

Friends of Pets will be on-hand, too.  A second open air park exhibit will recognize their efforts through 14 large format murals illustratiing more than 1500 rescued cats and dogs my studio has photographed since 1989.

Goodie Bags with free stuff will be handed out to the first 50 families in attendance.

Scooping supplies will available.  Volunteers will also be onhand to assist or answer any questions.

This is our first Pawstice event.  I hope to host many future Pawstice celebrations.  Please practice K9 Good Citizenship so we can have access to these wonderful parks in the future.

My studio is honored to announce the first-ever Pawstice.

Pawstice is a celebration of dogs, present and passed.  Plan to bring your four-legged canine companions to enjoy a couple hours of play and bonding.

Ministers Doug and Deborah Lindsay will host a Blessing of the Animals to kick off the festivities.

Animal Communicator Leola Adams will perform and offer greetings and readings to anyone who would like to know a little more about their dogs.

I'll also include some of my favorite dog-friendly vendors from around Anchorage.

I've reserved Ruth Arcand Park for the festivities. All of my staff and volunteers will be on-hand to have fun with you and the dogs, to help answer questions about dogs and we'll even help out with a shovel or two (if you know what I mean!)

This is an RSVP-only event.  It is free to friends and fans of the studio.  I'd like it to be fun - especially for the dogs - and will limit how many can attend.  So click HERE to RSVP or give my studio a call.
