Ahhh ..... those precious moments when you're sitting down and your dog lays its head upon your leg or foot ... it's trust, comfort and warmth all wrapped into one emotion. It just feels so perfect. It's love. It's what I call Talking to Animals. Captured with my lens, it's called Petography.

'Pet-ography' was Made in Alaska.
I created the word and occupation Alaska Pet-ography in 1989. It was the first Pet-ography Studio in the nation. I was also the first in Alaska to create a portrait studio with an emphasis on animal companions. Many have followed but I believe we are still the leader of the pack.
The word pet-ography emerged from my desire to create meaningful, heartfelt artwork that reflects the love and passion between people and their dogs, cats, horses, birds, pot bellied pigs, reptiles .... the list is endless.
